Personal project created to commemorate my wife and I’s first year of marriage. The first year’s wedding anniversary is traditionally seen as the ‘paper’ anniversary. Two anniversary books were made up, each with 366 pages showcasing 366 different paper stocks and 366 different number 1’s. Each page represented a day of that first year. It was important for it to be made from the paper sheets only without elaborate bindings and cover. The books are just glued like a traditional notebook with no cover or endpaper. This execution helps keep the concept pure and avoids having an over-finished object. There is a need for it to feel open-ended as it is a project that will continue with new concepts in subsequent years.
