Guinness

The Arthur Guinness Fund is an internal programme set up to further the legacy of Arthur Guinness and support social entrepreneurs around the world. It was established to continue the philanthropic legacy of founder Arthur Guinness and his descendants.

The fund was launched and set up in 2009 to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the lease for the St James’s Gate Brewery. It identifies and supports social entrepreneurs globally with the skills and support required to deliver a measurable, transformational change to communities around the world.

The fund commissioned a report and guides which outlined all elements and case studies from 2010/11. The core concept was “From One to Many”. One social entrepreneurial idea can positively effect a whole community. The die-cut cover is a literal representation of one dot against an endpaper backdrop of small screen dots. This also had a practical reasoning in that the imagery in the booklet was of varying quality. The image treatment unified the look and feel, along with the use of colour which helped divide the booklet into its four main sections.
